Processing Facility

KrolLDiscovery’s processing facility features multiple layers of security and safety devices to protect the integrity of critical data, including:

  • Government-level physical security
  • Multi-zoned, role-based security access system requiring photo ID keycards
  • Double-door access to the production facility – this “man trap” access requires the first door to close before the security system allows the second door to open
  • 24×7 facility monitoring by ADT Security Services
  • Redundant power and cooling systems
  • Dry chemical fire suppression system
  • Chain-of-custody documentation
  • Video cameras with digital recording throughout the facility to monitor movement and activity
  • Secure work-in-process vault for storage of media
  • Secure vault within processing center for highly-sensitive evidence processing and storage

In addition, KrolLDiscovery complies with the EU-Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries. This ensures KrolLDiscovery has taken the steps required to transfer data to the U.S. for processing in the course of electronic discovery and will provide predictability and continuity for European Union organizations that send personal information to the U.S. and organizations in the U.S. that receive personal information from the European Union.
